It is extremely important for officers and first responders to stay up to date with new training. Last week we trained with members of several Toms River Fire Companies and Toms River EMT’s in an Active Shooter Rescue Task Force training. This new method of training is intended to save the most lives in a real-life situation. It is designed to treat and evacuate wounded individuals from an active shooter situation rapidly, and safely, so they can be rendered treatment as quickly as possible. Working together and training regularly is crucial for all agencies involved.
