Recently we have received a high volume of calls from people who have been victim of, or are reporting, phone scams stating the caller was from the Social Security Administration and was demanding “immediate payment” to avoid arrest. The scammers are asking for payment in the form of gift cards. Please do not ever pay someone over the phone with gift cards.
