Yesterday morning between 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM TRPD dispatchers fielded over 300 calls for service. Calls included (but not limited to) trees down, wires hanging/arching, traffic lights out, transformer issues, road hazards, smoke conditions and more. We want to take a minute to thank our dispatchers, patrol officers, police staff and detectives, park security, class I and class II officers, as well as, TR CSO’s, TR Office of Emergency Management, TR Public Works, TR Fire Companies, TR First Aid, Shade Tree, OC Prosecutors Office and OC Sheriffs Department for their professionalism and dedication to the town and our residents. Officers came in early for shifts and stayed late to tackle the issues that arose during and after the storm. Emergency personnel worked through the night directing traffic and securing buildings and roadways. We cannot forget the power company, gas company, and all of the linemen who continue to work to restore services.
