Lieutenant Vincent J. Pedalino #327
Lieutenant Vincent Pedalino is a lifelong resident of Toms River and a 3rd generation police officer, following in the footsteps of his grandfather, father, and uncle. He began his law enforcement career in December of 2002 with the Seaside Park Police Department, when he entered the Ocean County Police Academy (Class #80) and was awarded the High Physical Fitness Award. After completing his summer in Seaside Park, he was hired as a full-time officer with Manalapan Police Department, and in June of 2004 joined the Toms River Police Department.
During his time with the Toms River PD, Lieutenant Pedalino has received three Class B Awards, a Class C Award, and a Life Saving Award. In 2008, he was selected as a member of the Emergency Services Unit where he has served 15 years with the unit (10 as an operator; 5 as a Team Leader). Lieutenant Pedalino was assigned as a lead instructor for over 10 years in Defensive Tactics, Firearms, and as a Taser instructor for TRPD and with the Ocean County Police Academy as well.
Lieutenant Pedalino was a Midnight and Evening Patrol Sergeant before being assigned to administration as the Training Sergeant, and is currently assigned to patrol as the Evening Shift Commander.
Lieutenant Pedalino has coached the Toms River Wrestling Club for the last 21 years and currently coaches his four boys in soccer as well at the Toms River Futbol Club. His wife of 15 years, Samantha, and their four sons joins him today: Vinny (13), Niko (12), Tino (9), and Luca (6).
