Sergeant Brian O’Leary #381
Sergeant Brian O’Leary is a lifelong resident of Toms River and an eleven-year veteran of the Toms River Police Department. He is a 2004 graduate of Toms River High School East and received a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology with a minor in Political Science from West Virginia University in 2008.
Prior to being promoted, Sergeant O’Leary served the department in many different aspects. Sergeant O’Leary was a Field Training Officer; a member of the department’s Emergency Services Unit for two years and has been a part of the Evidence Technician program since 2014. During his years in Patrol, he has received several commendations for his service to the community along with a NJSPBA Valor award.
Above all, Sergeant O’Leary is most proud of his family. He has been married to his lovely wife Lindsey for nine years and is a proud father of two boys, Jack (6) and Conor (3). Sergeant O’Leary is thankful to them for their continued support along with the rest of his family, friends and colleagues.
